Who is it for? The course is suitable for learners at B1 level who understand English quite well but find it hard to speak. If you can get by in simple situations and want to speak more fluently and confidently, this is for you.
What does it focus on? Speaking and listening. Each lesson starts with a short recording, and then you practise in pairs: telling stories, giving opinions and solving everyday problems. There is no grammar lecture — grammar is explained only when you need it to say something. We avoid translating and encourage guessing words from context.
When and how much? Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7.00–8.30 pm, for ten weeks. The price is £240. Homework takes about an hour a week: you record yourself for two minutes and send it to the teacher, who replies with a short voice message.
