Tom (Mon 9.25): Great news. Although it's a good date, the football final is at 3 — bear in mind that some people will leave early. What if we finished at 2 instead?
Priya (Mon 9.31): I see your point. Fair enough — 11 to 2 it is.
Emma (Mon 10.02): I've had an idea. What about a small cake table in order to raise money for new children's books? Everyone could chip in with one cake. The only drawback is that we'd need permission from the library for food.
Tom (Mon 10.15): I'd go along with that. I'll ask the librarian today so that we know by Wednesday.
Priya (Mon 10.20): Perfect. Roles, then: I'm responsible for the posters — deadline Friday 29 May. Emma, could you take on the cake table? Tom is going to keep track of the books people bring and the money.
Emma (Mon 10.24): Leave it to me. Mind you, I can't be there before 10.30, so somebody else needs to open the hall.
Tom (Mon 10.30): No problem — I'm meeting the librarian at 10 anyway, so I'll open up. One more thing: the trouble is we don't have boxes for the books. Could everyone bring two boxes?
Priya (Mon 10.35): Good idea. Alex, could you write the final plan and post it here by Friday at the latest, so that everyone has it in one message?
