Деталь и интерпретация: как показать, на чём основан вывод
Вывод без детали — вкус («мне показалось»); деталь без вывода — пересказ. Рецензия на C1 соединяет их: деталь (конкретная: кадр, реплика, мотив) → глагол интерпретации (suggests, implies, hints at, reads as) → вывод → подтверждение другой деталью (bears this out). Глаголы различаются силой: suggest (наводит), hint at (намекает), imply (подразумевает — сильнее), read as (я читаю как — открыто субъективно).

Ошибки новичков: The director wants to show us that — угадывание намерений; лучше The scene suggests; It means that she left → This suggests she has left (для интерпретации, не факта); proves в рецензии почти всегда слишком сильно.
Нюансы
- imply — произведение подразумевает; infer — зритель делает вывод. Не путайте: the film implies, I infer.
- read as — честно субъективно; хорошо для спорных прочтений.
- motif /məʊˈtiːf/ — повторяющийся элемент; theme — тема в целом.
- bear out — «подтверждать» о фактах; прошедшее borne out.
- Одна деталь — гипотеза; две — прочтение; ни одной — вкус.
