Событие и подача: одни факты — разные рамки
Сообщение = факты + подача (framing): с чего начать (lead with), что выдвинуть на первый план (foreground), что преуменьшить (play down) или раздуть (play up), на чём сделать акцент (emphasis on). Ни одна из этих операций не требует лжи — поэтому её трудно заметить. На C1 задача — отделить bare facts от рамки и назвать рамку словами.

Ошибки новичков: The article begins from the cost → begins with / leads with; frames the closure like a failure → frames it as a failure; the author accents → the author emphasises / plays up.
Нюансы
- play down ≠ лгать: факт остаётся, но в шестом абзаце.
- slant — с оттенком осуждения (предвзятость); angle — нейтрально (ракурс).
- emphasis — ударение в слове тоже emphasis / stress; в подаче — emphasis on.
- coverage — неисчисляемое: media coverage, not
coverages. - foreground как глагол — книжное; в разговоре highlight.
