Две версии: что участники знали в тот момент
Одно событие — разные версии (versions, accounts), потому что участники знали разное. Чтобы показать точку зрения, нужны обороты as far as she knew, from his point of view, it seemed to him, she assumed, he had no idea that и Past Perfect для того, что «уже было» на момент событий.

Ошибки новичков: From the point of view of Anna's → from Anna's point of view; According to me → in my view; She thought he got the message → … he had got the message (раньше, чем думала).
Нюансы
- As far as I know (сейчас) — as far as she knew (тогда): согласование времён при пересказе.
- assume — считать без проверки; suppose — предполагать с сомнением; presume — формальнее, чем assume.
- blame + кого + for + что: blamed him for the mix-up;
blamed on him— только с put the blame on. - Версии не «правильная и неправильная»: покажите, что знал каждый, — и слушатель сам увидит, где разошлось.
