Ограничение вывода: выборка, условия и осторожное обобщение
Хорошее исследование само называет свои границы (limitations): кто участвовал (sample, representative), как измеряли (self-reported или measured), как долго (in the short term), при каких условиях (under these conditions). Хороший пересказ их сохраняет: «результат может не относиться к» (may not apply to), «нельзя обобщать» (generalise), «не экстраполировать» (extrapolate). Формулы ограничения — обязательная часть речи о науке.

Ошибки новичков: The research is limited by students → limited to students; representative for → representative of; more researches are needed → further research is needed (research неисчисляемое).
Нюансы
- limitation — ограничение исследования; restriction — запрет; limit — предел.
- apply to — «относиться к»; apply for — подать заявку.
- extrapolate — распространить за пределы данных (с мышей на людей, с недели на год) — всегда с осторожностью.
- Further research is needed — почти ритуальная фраза; на C1 лучше сказать, какое именно исследование нужно.
- at least в конце вывода сужает его: «по крайней мере в краткосрочной перспективе».
