Интерпретация: тема, впечатление и подтверждающая деталь
Интерпретация — это не «мне понравилось», а тема (what it is about), впечатление (what it made me feel / what struck me) и деталь, которая это подтверждает (the scene in which …). Глаголы искусства — portray, convey, symbolise, evoke — позволяют говорить о произведении, а не только о себе. Честная интерпретация допускает неоднозначность (ambiguous, I read it as …).

- What struck me was + существительное / -ing / that-предложение: was the silence / was how quiet it was.
- resonate with + человек: it resonated with me; не
resonated me. - read (трактовать) — формы одинаковы: I read it as … (настоящее /riːd/, прошедшее /red/).
- Деталь важнее оценки: «the scene in which …» убеждает больше, чем «brilliant».
