Абзац аргументированного эссе — четыре шага: положение (topic sentence: одно утверждение), основания (grounds: почему это так — данные, пример, логика), оговорка (caveat: где положение не работает; this is not to say), переход (transition: к следующему абзацу — which brings me to, I now turn to).
