Возражение редко бывает целиком верным или неверным. Взвесить его — значит сказать, в чём оно право (right about X), для каких случаев верно (holds only for), сколько весит (carries weight; decisive или нет) и что это меняет в выводе: ничего (the general point stands), сужает его (narrow the conclusion to) или переворачивает (outweighs). Отдельно — сумма: по отдельности каждое возражение отвечаемо, а в совокупности (taken together) они могут менять картину.
