Неразрешённое противоречие: обозначить ясно и точно
Не всякое противоречие разрешимо в пределах пакета. Тогда его не выдавливают в вердикт и не прячут в сноски, а помечают в резюме: ровно где лежит конфликт (в причине, не в размере), что не оспаривается (12 % — факт), какие конкурирующие объяснения остаются (объездная или торговый парк), почему данные по-настоящему расколоты (каждое объяснение согласуется с частью данных), и что бы это разрешило (какие сведения). Неразрешённое противоречие, названное точно, — результат анализа, а не его провал.

Ошибки новичков: выдавить вердикт из недостаточных данных; спрятать противоречие в сноску; It stays open → it remains open / unresolved; could be solved by → could be resolved by (solve — задачи, resolve — вопросы).
Нюансы
- genuinely split — данные, а не мнения: каждое объяснение согласуется с частью данных.
- «Somewhere in between» — ложное разрешение: данные не говорят, где именно (тема 68).
- what would resolve it — превращает открытый вопрос в задачу; без этого он выглядит отговоркой.
- Помечайте в резюме: читатель отчёта дальше первой страницы может не пойти (тема 76).
- Открытое противоречие + собственная оценка с низкой уверенностью (урок 6) — допустимая пара.
