Претензия B2 — не эмоция, а довод: факт с датами и номерами → последствие для вас (as a result of, out of pocket) → основание (under the guarantee, consumer rights, as advertised) → желаемое решение с формой и сроком (replacement, refund, rectify within seven days) → что будет иначе (take the matter further). Тон формальный и спокойный.

Ошибки новичков: I demand you to refund → I ask you to refund / I expect a refund; I have the right for a refund → I am entitled to a refund; Because of this I had to rent — верно, но в письме As a result точнее.
Нюансы
- entitled to + существительное / -ing: entitled to a refund / to have it repaired; не
entitled for. - rectify — формальный синоним fix / put right; уместен в письме, не в разговоре.
- compensation for + что: compensation for the delay; claim compensation.
- «Иначе» — не угроза, а следующий шаг: I will take the matter further / contact the ombudsman.
